Our Story
The Car Ride That Changed Everything
It was a simple car ride—one of those everyday moments you don’t expect to mean anything more than catching up with family. But in January 2024, as Liz and I drove her parents—Pastor Andres and Grissel—home from the airport, something shifted. We were only about 30 minutes from the airport to the house, but that short drive became a divine appointment. As we rode together, we began talking about a missions project in Uruguay that we had helped launch. While our role was only to help get it started, we couldn’t shake the feeling that something was left incomplete. There was a deep conviction among us—it’s never a good thing to start something and not see it through. That sense of unfinished purpose stirred something inside us, not out of regret, but out of a desire to do things differently moving forward—to build something that would last and make a lasting difference. We began to ask each other, What would it look like to support churches and ministers more intentionally? Not just through projects, but through real ministry support? What if we equipped and empowered leaders to fulfill their callings? What if we created a path for those with spiritual maturity, real ministry experience, and a heart for the gospel to receive ministerial credentials and guidance?
To educate, equip, empower, and encourage ministers and churches to make disciples of all nations.
As we shared ideas, something began to form. And then, seemingly out of nowhere, the name came: Go Therefore. It was perfect. Straight from the Great Commission. It captured the heart of everything we had just talked about—going, sending, equipping, discipling, and reaching.
That car ride stayed with me long after the conversation ended. I couldn’t shake it. I felt God pressing on my heart: This is what I’m calling you to build. It wasn’t just a good idea—it was divine direction.
So I said yes. I stepped out in faith.
And now, what began in a 30-minute car ride has become Go Therefore Ministries Incorporated. We are credentialing ministers, equipping churches, partnering in missions, and walking out the calling we all sensed that day.
A ride that started with reflection became the road that led us to purpose. And here we are.
